I can’t wait to share this session with y’all, but I’m going to give a little back story first: I was lucky enough to become great friends with 2 other photographer ladies last year (shout out Hannah and Renee) and they really encouraged me to push myself and my business to the next level. You see, I was starting to get to that burn out phase where you are taking pictures all the time but you aren’t really feeling inspired anymore. So I set a goal for myself that in 2017, I would stop saying yes to any shoot that came my way and really focus on shooting the things that I love! Which happens to be kiddos and families!!
All this to say that I decided to offer something really special starting in 2017! My ‘let them be little” sessions are for those families who are really wanting a shoot tailored towards there child and the phase of life that they are in right now. For these shoots I will collaborate with the parents AND the child to come up with something so special.
When I sent Abigail’s Mom some of the photos from the shoot, one of the first things she said was “oh my gosh, Abigail is going to love looking at these when she is older!”. And I thought to myself, wow that really is exactly what I want these photos to be – not just pretty photos but memories to look back on! To help remember who your child was and what they love at this specific age.
You’ll see in the video that I post later that Abigail told me in our “interview” that she loves the color pink, eating mini donuts and wants to be a princess when she grows up – thus our idea for a princess tea party came to life!
